Week 26

I'm doing great! We just had a baptism this week! His name is Alfonzo.. hes a part member family. It was an honor to serve him and to teach the gospel to him! One thing that I noticed while I was teaching him was that as the lessons went on and he was progressing towards baptism, I grew so much closer and grew a greater love for this family and Alfonzo. It was amazing to see and feel the spirit change this man. I am so grateful for the gospel and the love I've come to know of it!

Well.. exciting news.. I'm GETTING TRANSFERRED!! I'm going to a place in the Eastern Cape called Ilinge (E-leeng-A) Queenstown.. I am super excited Ilinge is known as a Township and my new companion is Elder Richardson, never met the dude but we will see how it goes!

Sunday I gave a talk about grace, missionary work, temples, and gods plan of happiness. I was just rambling, because the Bishop had just asked me if I could speak just a half hour earlier. So I was just going on the spirit the whole time, and to be honest I really can't remember all the things that I had said. But everyone said they really liked my talk and it lasted about 20 min. I think I'm getting better at this missionary thing :) hahaha jk but I was grateful the for the opportunity!

This week we've been really trying to work with members. Earlier this week we got some council from our President that said he expects our lessons to drop before we can build them up again.. and we've definitely seen that in our teaching this week. We are teaching less people but this week. We had 8 lessons with a member present! Usually we would get 15-20 lessons a week but that was without a member there. So his council was reassuring! The highlight of this week was definitely the Baptism this week though!

But it was also very stressful! before the baptism,  though we didn't get the baptism sheet signed and it was Saturday.. so we had to call President to sign it and he met us at our chapel. (we were playing ping pong waiting for him ). Once he signed it he watched us play for a moment and then asked if he could play me.. like okay?! So we played a little and he destroyed me!!  He told us after that he use to play all the time when he was younger and he even played in tournaments when he was in the military! He would take 3rd or at least be in the top 5.. man it was crazy playing with him haha but it was fun!

Hope all is well with everyone. Please express my love to the family!

Have a good week!
