I'm doing great! We don't actually live in ilinge.. we live in Queenstown which is about a 15 min drive from our area. And we stay in a 4 man boarding so its pretty different but fun. It's super cold here! Like I mean really cold!! And in Queenstown is the only place in South Africa that it will snow!! So hopefully that doesn't happen anytime soon!
But yeah my area is sweet! I love it so much, it is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains, but its super cool! Its really poor there, but the members are very strong, and the work in this area is going so well!
The members always help with everything that we do, its crazy! Very different from my last area! Transfers were a little hectic.. and this weeks been a little long but, I can feel that I'm going to grow so much from this area!
All the people here and in ilinge speak Xhosa.. (its the clicking language they speak) but most of the people speak semi-good English.. enough for us to understand them and them understand us. They all want me to learn the language, so all the members and the investigators will also help us in Xhosa
My new companion, Elder Richards, is really funny and cool! He is from Mesa, Arizona, we get along really well! There is a feeling here that is different then all the other areas! In a way its more alive and exciting here!
Elder and Sister Farnsworth are the senior couple in this zone. They are super nice!
I cant wait for this new week and the exciting things that our Father in Heaven wants me to learn from these people!
Tell the family that I love them and that I'm grateful for their prayers and support! Next week I'll have a lot of pics to send!
Love you all,
ELDER FONUA
