My week has been great! I'm actually writing you kinda late here because South Africa has this electrical problem called "load shedding" where the government shuts off the power for a certain amount of time in specific areas.. and they show what places at what times they are shutting it off at on the news but as you know missionaries don't get to watch T.V. so we never know when our power is getting shut off! haha, it kinda sucks but anyways..
While we were emailing today the power went off at the chapel and so we had to wait for the power to return so that we could finish emailing our families, haha so that's why this email is coming so late :)
But anyways, this week was great we are hopefully baptizing these 2 people very soon! It's a brother and a sister of a member who we've been teaching. Its been awesome to see them grow in the gospel and to see the hand of our lord in their lives! Its truly a blessing to be apart of these people and their conversion, it definitely builds my testimony and my faith!
Today we went as a district to a place called "Monkey Town", where they have all the different monkeys you could ever think of, it was cool and toward the end you can get in a cage with some of them and feed them and play with them which was actually pretty cool :) funny thing though as we were in the monkey one of the other cages near by, one of the caretakers had left the cage open and one of the monkeys had escaped! It was funny watching about 4 workers trying to catch him.. they had to climb trees and on top of cages to only find that the monkey had already made his way down again.. but eventually the monkey was done playing and wanted to g back in his cage. It was a fun day and now I'm ready for the week! :)
It's getting colder here now and with load shedding getting worse its gonna make our flat freezing..
Anyways love you all! Hope you have a great week!
ELDER FONUA
From Elder Kupka's Blog:
Sunday was nice because Brother Sama came to church again and the day before Elder Fonua had challenged him to be baptized and he accepted. He brought two of his sons who were in Primary and they loved it. I'm really excited for their family. His wife just had a baby so it might take a bit longer for her to come to church but it should all work out in the end. I won't get to see them baptized but knowing that I was able to help them along the way is good enough for me.
