This week has been good! It has been very busy! Lots of things going on now! We are preparing for a missionary fireside with the youth in a couple of weeks and its been great! I'm super excited about this fireside to help the youth in their decision to serve a mission and how they are going to be blessed more than anything!
We are trying to have all the missionaries in the queens town are to be involved so that it may be bigger and better! Other than preparing for that, we also had a death in the ward. It was of a young member of the church.. his dad was the branch president of Ilinge when it was a branch forever ago.. so they are a well known family in Ilinge and in the community of the church of the surrounding areas and wards! It was very sad and the funeral was huge.
So yeah that made it crazy busy. Then we had the assistants come down this week end to visit and to be with the zone leaders. It was super fun and we had some powerful experiences with them helping us this week!
We also had BAPTISMS!!! this week!! It was sweet! But I was so stressed and running around every trying to make sure everything went smoothly. One of the people being baptized was a girl named Nonkosi. She has been taking the missionary lessons for quite some time now. She's been struggling with trying to get her parents to agree with the fact that she will be in another church. Her mother at first was very strict and kept saying that she couldn't be baptized in the LDS church. But she was able to finally change her mind and soften her heart after much prayer and fasting! It took some time but it was worth it! Her face after be baptized was full of the love and joyful tears! And that brought a lot of people to tears as well, including me!! It was amazing!
The spirit was so strong, and she knew and felt, as we all have felt, that the burdens of our past selves that was once on our shoulders alone, is now, like every member of the church, being carried side by side with Christ! This is truly HIS work and HIS glory! I am more motivated now then ever to help everyone feel of HIS love just like Nonkosi has!
Thank you everyone for being able to get all that stuff for me!! YAY!! I can't wait for the package!!
I really miss the family and Teiva of course! I hope hes doing well! Please tell him that I love him and that we will do a lot of brother stuff when i get back!! :) he should like that! haha
btw.. I'm learning how to cut my hair on the mission. It's sucks but it's getting there hahaha... just random thoughts! :)
I love you all, and hope you are all doing well!!
love,
