This weeks been good.. a little slow but still good.. We had a lot of people cancel on us so that was a bummer.. But how could I stay upset when we had general conference this past weekend?? I'm so grateful for the Prophet and Apostles and their messages they have shared with us this past weekend! I loved all their talks..especially Elder Bednar's talk about godly fear.. and the talk about the prodigal son.. but I forgot who spoke about it.. haha anyways I loved conference and I hope you and the family got something good out of it because I know that I did!
The mission has taught me a lot about how I see things and now I'm starting to see things though different eyes and have a different perspective! I'm grateful for raising me in righteousness.. and teaching me about the gospel.. I didn't fully understand or even care as much.. but reflecting over Christ and His sacrifice and the Atonement He has freely given us I've come to realize of the depth of the Atonement and how it doesn't only save us but also changes us into what our Heavenly Father knows we can become and that's Heirs of His Kingdom, and sharers of Gods glory with Jesus Christ!
Thank you mom for always teaching me the small and simple things and planting that seed in my heart so that I can grow to love and know the gospel!!
This last weekend was Easter weekend and Easter here is very big.. everyone has it off and EVERYONE makes pickled fish and hot cross buns... so Friday we were driving around and there was literally no one on the roads just a couple of people.. anyways we were super confused cause we also went tracting and no one was home either.. so we didn't know what to do.. so a member invited us to dinner and she served us pickled fish.. let me tell ya.. its not the best.. haha but we were still grateful for the food.. then Saturday everyone came out of there hiding places and the streets were crowded like crazy!
Then Sunday it went to normal again haha oh and also on Wednesday we got invited to do an Easter egg hunt with a family and it was pretty fun! It was a group of missionaries they invited and of course I won out of all of us.. this family doesn't have young kids so it was only us missionaries doing the Easter egg hunt.. haha so yeah that was my week :)
Love,
Elder Fonua
