This week was good! It was transfers.. so theres been some changes in our zone.. a lot of the Elders have moved out and the areas have been closing! But its all good we have a pretty big district but now we are split in to two. Also we have been preparing the Tatros.. ( senior couple ) who live next door, to go home this week so its been a little busy, but they are excited about going home! They actually came out with me on the same flight! funny story.. on all 3 flights over to Cape Town I was by myself.. then the last 2 hours of the final flight I meet the Tatros on the plane while heading to the bath room.. hahaha we found out that they were on all the same flights as me but we just never saw each other!
But now I have served with them and what a joy it has been to be with them they have been great examples of missionary work, charity, love, and obedience that has really effected me and my mission! I absolutely love them and who they are! They live in Kearns and are going home this week! So they will be missed dearly!
I guess the really cool thing this week is the amount of people we are teaching now.. we've got over 50 people we are teaching and 41 of those people have a baptismal date!! We are super excited about this transfer and what it will bring! We dont know how committed they all are.. but its the time for sifting through and weeding out the ones that arent ready for the gospel yet.. so that will be our main goal this week.. which I can already tell is going to be exhausting but it needs to be done and I hope and pray that we can be able to progress them all to baptism!
We also had our ward Christmas party this week which was fun! of course a bunch of food and tons of fun! Elder Tatro was Father Christmas ( santa ) and we went to an orphanage and a childrens disability center to sing! It was great to be able see the joy on their faces when they saw Father Christmas!
The prophets words are true when he said " The true key to happiness in this mortal life it to give, render, and serve for the happiness of others" I feel truly blessed to be able to serve my brothers and sisters and to have the blessing of seeing and feeling the joy that comes from service!
It seems that the Lord is always connecting us somehow in every way! I hope your week has been good I'm keeping you ALL in my prayers!
LOVE,
