Everything is great my side of the world! It's a little crazy, but that's just life I guess haha!
This week was great! We had a couple of new changes, first we moved out of our old flat and into a newer nicer one! Which I am grateful for! Then we also had zone conference as well on Thursday! It was powerful and inspiring! It was on "our duty to find new investigators" and "different ways we can get people interested" while maybe street contacting of even knocking on doors. We even had a game to see who could ask the best questions to get into a house, and the winner got candy! Well guess who got the candy?? Not me.. hahaha, yeah it was some other Elders, I bet you thought I was gonna say it was me huh?! hahaha yeah no, but it was fun none the less! :)
Then of course we had interviews with the Big Kahuna! He has helped me so much throughout my mission! What he has said are things that will have an effect the rest of my life! I am so grateful to receive his council!
But I guess that throughout the week we've been seeing this investigator named Janine. She believes everything that we've taught her! She loves the Book of Mormon and loves the gospel! She has just been struggling to gain a testimony of Joseph Smith, but we hit a snag this week as she said after she watched conference, she prayed and felt the spirit tell her that Joseph Smith was a true prophet!!! But then she researched him and found some anti-Mormon things that put so much doubt and fear into her that it took her two steps back, it was a very disappointing thing to hear. But we tried our best that night, but she just needed time to think.
After awhile we came back and started talking about one of the talks that she saw in during the conference.. the one about focusing on the things that we do have and what we do know and to leave the rest of the things we know not to God who will reveal everything in his own due time! We bore testimony and followed the council that our President has given us, after that, she smiled and said "Elders when can I be baptized"? It was amazing and a miracle to hear her say that! I truly believe that the gospel can reach into every fiber of our souls if we let it!! She is scheduled to be baptized this Sunday!! We are so blessed and grateful for these blessings!! God truly does magnify our efforts in all that we do with Him! So we are excited for this weekend!
Besides that we are doing good! We are having lots of fun! And working hard as well! Elder Heninger is going home in like two weeks and so its a little exciting for him! It's getting hotter here, I had some bad allergies this past week.. like crazy headaches and sneezing every thirty seconds.. haha it wasn't fun..
Please tell all the family that I love and miss them all!!
Love,
ELDER FONUA
