This week has been good!! One of those long weeks, but it's been fun still! I'm back into the groove of this again its all good now! haha
The ward is great to. They feed us quite a bit! More than any other of my areas! So that's super nice! Everyone is back from holiday now so we've been able to see and visit more people. It's always nice to be able to teach less actives! It's frustrating sometimes but I like building relationships with them because they all have interesting stories and some of them are super funny! haha
I think the high light of this week was we had zone meeting and it was on the PMG and how to better use the basics and it was awesome!! It really helped me to refocus on the basics and to not make things so complicated.
We also read a quote from President Hinckley where someone asks him "will Preach My Gospel increase convert baptisms?" President Hinckley's response was "I don't know..." but then he goes on to say.. "but what I do know is that it will create better fathers and worthy priesthood holders"
Preach My Gospel is not only for mission but for my whole life! If I want to be a worthy father and husband and succeed on my mission.. preach my gospel is what I need to be studying! But that also goes for not just PMG but for all scripture! It's something that I've found a love for!
We also have a world wide missionary conference this Wednesday so that will be fun! :)
And some ideas for the package: I would love the book Infinite Conversion.. I think Ema should know that. we talked about it during Christmas so yeah but i think that's it for books.. but if there Is a cool book about the gospel or missionary work.. by all means i would love to read it!!
As for things that I want well it would be super nice if i could get some nice business style missionary brown shoes like the ones at Mr. Mac and one of those missionary clicking belts but a brown one! and maybe a couple of more of Aunty Tainas CDs :) and some ties (paisley)... I know that's a lot and its okay if you cant get any of it but I'm sure that whatever you send me will be great!! :)
Well I hope you all have a great week l love you all and I am grateful for your support!!
Love,
ELDER FONUA
oh, I almost forgot today for P-day we went to Simons Town where there are the South African penguins!! It was sweet! There is a path that you can just walk by for free to see them and get pretty close to them.. or you could pay and get even closer.. but we are all poor haha so we chose the free path! But while we were roaming we stumbled across this hidden beach and guess what we found?! That's right, PENGUINS!! Hahaha it was cool! So we went down and got super close with them! Even one of the Elders wanted to touch it so as he as leaning in, the Penguin bit his finger and it stared to bleed! lol!
So yeah and even when you pay to go see them you don't even get close enough to touch it.. so yeah lesson here is : always do things that are free!! haha!!
