This week has been great! We've been pretty busy this past week preparing for the end of the transfer and for Elder Herrick's new companion.. he's going to be training next! He's super anxious and nervous but he'll be a great trainer!
This is my last week in Ilinge... its sad.. I've come to love the ward and the people here! It's going to be hard to leave and say good bye! Even last night we had a lesson with one of our recent converts and I bore my testimony to him and told him I was proud and honored to meet and serve with him! It's safe to say that I got a little emotional!! And that wasn't even my final goodbye... man its going to be tough to leave here but I know that its for the best and I'll come to love my next area just as much hopefully! I don't know where I'm going yet.. I will know on Saturday.. so that's exciting. But yeah nothing to crazy this past week.....
OH I almost forgot, our bishop here in Ilinge has been wanting me to cook for him and his wife, it's been a tradition for missionaries before they leave to make something for them.. so this past week I made them katsu chicken! It definitely wasn't the best time that I made that dish.. but they still liked it.. haha it was fun to make it for them.. it felt like all the other times I've made it, haha it reminded me of home!
Also in this coming week we are going to have a missionary fireside for the youth.. we wanna try to involve all the missionaries here to make it impacting on the youth to have them set on serving a mission instead of other things that might distract them like school and work and other things like that.... so yeah that's going to be fun!... hopefully!
I'm doing well though! I love mission and the testimony that I've built about every aspect of the gospel and the knowledge, faith, and the spirit that I gain everyday!! I truely love this work and I'm honored that I have been able to serve him!
It's the end of the school year here and everyone is doing their final exams this week.. haha so its super stressful for everyone.. I'm not sure though how this weeks going to pan out because of it but we will see :)
Anyways love you all hope you have a great week!
love,
ELDER FONUA
