I'm doing good! We had a pretty slow week and its my last week in Panorama.. President said that I've been here to long and that I need to be transferred.. so I'll definitely be moving to a new area next Wednesday. So I'll probably know where Im going Saturday night!
It's getting pretty cold here! Like for real!!! I can see my breathe! haha
Is there another camera you can send me?? This one okay, its getting pretty old and beat up and the pictures don't come out as nice.. if you can't that's fine I was just wondering.
Please let the ward know and that I love them and that I said hi! And, yeah I write Elder Brown.. sometimes.. its kind of off an on.. just whenever we can. but hes doing great!
My week was nice.. pretty slow and not enough people to teach and so we really need to refill our teaching pool! But this week started off good! We went on exchanges and I was with Elder Mei ( hes from Fiji ) which was nice had a good time in his area teaching the people! Its school holiday here so everyone is out of school.. and most of our ward went to the temple.. so a lot of the people we teach were gone.. so hopefully that this new week can be more productive! But next Sunday we are having a BAPTISM! His name is Alphonso.. hes a part-member family and hes awesome! His family is excited about his baptism!
But this week we had a funny experience... it was on Friday and we had just finished a lesson with a less-active guy (bro Masumba) and we finished a little earlier than we thought we would.. so after we were trying to figure out what we should do till our next appt. and we saw a couple of people playing basketball nearby, and saw that they weren't that good... so we thought "lets go play them and WHEN they lose they will have to listen and take a Book of Mormon AFTER we beat them!" So we go to the court and of course everyone is looking at us because we are still in our whites.. and when we go ask if we could play... there was other 2 guys fixing the hoop on the other side.. and after they were done they said that they wanted to play us.. so we said okay and played to 11.... we got WHOOPED.. the score was 2 to 11... came to find out that these two guys play on a league that travels South Africa playing other basketball teams here... well I think the lord sufficiently humbled us that day.. hahahahaha
the message this week is to not be puffed up in pride.. because the lord will ALWAYS humble you.. i experience that first hand haha
love you mom! i hope you have a great week and tell the girls good luck on trek!
love ELDER FONUA
