Hello Family!
I'm doing great! I'm eating pretty well! Me and my companion are buying food together.. which is nice cuz some people or missionaries like to buy separately but you don't get as much food that way haha Elder Young is great! Hes' a good companion we get along pretty well.
South Africa is great.. its getting pretty cold now... and our transfer is almost over and I'll be leaving pretty soon. It's a sad process. I've met so many great people and members here! I love panorama so much! But we well talk about that when it comes haha!
Please let Sam, Aunty Jewel and Tenille know that I love them and that I'm grateful for the love and support that they have shown me!
Man I miss the Fonua family reunion. I hope you guys had fun!
This week the Panorama ward went to the temple for a few days. It's amazing to see the excitement and happiness that they have for the Temple. We've been sharing with the members this scripture. 3 Nephi 11:1 (where the people are visited and are all gathered where?? the temple!) The temple is very important in Gods Plan of Happiness with out the temple families couldnt be together forever.
Please take advantage of the temple!!! I've come to love the temple I love the feeling and the peace that you feel there! I definitely took it for granted and I miss it a lot!
This week went pretty good.. lots of teaching.. we are lacking on new investigators though.. so we are going to work on refilling our teaching pool by other means except tracting. We've found that tracting isn't that effective so we are trying to do member referrals.
We have 3 baptisms coming up in 2 weeks which is very exciting. But this week we went tracting a little bit and we found a rich white guy who is interested ( very rare) haha but he invited us in and we explained a little bit about who we are and what we do. He was interested and wanted to learn more. He works a lot so it hard to see him often as we want but we will keep on trying. we also have a golden investigator his name is Alphonso. He is the son of a member and was interested to hear about the gospel and ever since then hes been understanding everything that we've been teaching him. His family is very excited for his baptism and so is he!
We also went on exchanges this week. We went to this family who loved our messages, but they were coming up with excuses and reasons why we couldn't come and teach them. Like they were to busy and stuff like that. So we went there one last time and told them strait that this is the true and only gospel an that they need to be baptized by the proper authority and we couldn't waste anymore time with them. They paused for a moment and agreed to work harder to see us and learn more. It turned out to be a great lesson!
I'm excited for this new week and the baptisms we are having! But we are going to have to figure out also what to do with fellowships because everyone has gone to the temple for the week!
I love you and the family and hope everything is going well!
Love,
ELDER FONUA
